At Daizen, we are drying experts. This step requires special technology that extracts the moisture but also maintains the structural integrity.
Precision Technology and Handcrafting
Our innovative engineering process brings authenticity into our buildings. Our handcrafting experience in applying this detail ensures for a smooth installation.
CNC Advantage
We use CNC technology and CAD programming to ensure precision cuts, which help save time, eliminate wood waste and ensure quality control and safety.
Steel Integration
Steel integration is becoming a common approach to provide durability on all large scale residential projects. Our unique approach is authentically beautiful and saves many hours of on-site work.
Glulam and Steel Cladding
Structural integrity is paramount to our work and there are times when timber frames require reinforced strength through steel or engineered wood.
Timber Finish
How the timber looks is a key factor for homeowners and the durability is important for contractors. At Daizen, we cover both by providing unique finish and the most durable protection applied in a controlled environment by our trained staff.
Material Preparations
Timber is inspected for quality assurance and is then prepared to meet specific requirements for each custom home plan.
Kiln drying
At Daizen, we are drying experts. This step requires special technology that extracts the moisture but also maintains the structural integrity.
Timber Sizing
Our CNC planer is a precision tool that cuts all four sides of each timber at the same time resulting in an accurately squared product.
CNC Processing
Daizen utilizes its CNC machine for most of the timber preparation process to ensure accuracy and productivity.
Quality Check & Control
Every piece of timber that goes through the CNC fabrication process is carefully inspected. Further refining of each piece is then addressed through hand detailing.
Fine Hand Craft
Daizen sets itself apart through its experience and skill in hand cutting and shaping that a CNC machine cannot necessarily achieve. Our work is truly customized, project-to-project.
Timber Texture
Texturizing timbers is a foundation of Daizen’s finishing process. We use various approaches when texturing to create custom wood finishes.
Finish
All sides of the timber are finished within a designated, dust-free building to ensure the product has no excess debris on it.
Test Fitting
All critical components (trusses, complex joints) for each project are developed and dry-fit tested in shop to ensure ease of installation on site.
Steel Integration
We take care of all steel integration engineering. Our cladding is unique and gives the look of solid timber. Our installation process is important and we install with minimum time.
Grain Match Cladding
Our engineered beam supply is cladded with solid wood and is always grain matched to look like natural timber.
Damage Control
Throughout our entire process, we minimize the chance of any damage. If there is damage, our patching system is fast and invisible.
Curve Bending
Our custom built clamp will bend timber the exact radius planned.
Accessory & Fastener
We supply every fastener that is needed to put together each piece.
Wrapping and Shipping
Protection from moving during shipment is important. We also protect from any equipment damages and provide complete packing lists for each tally.
Gasketting
Simple groove for installing gaskets can provide air tight joints that meet up coming building demands.
