Joseph Poulin
Designer
Joe came to Daizen in 2016 with over 30 years in the construction industry; 18 of which have been directly involved with timber framing.
After completing the timber framing program at the College of the Rockies, he worked for Unique Timber Corp in Lumby, B.C. for 2 years before starting his own timber framing company in 2003. Besides his design, hand-crafting, and installing experience, he has owned and operated a Woodmizer sawmill and is a certified mobile crane operator.
At Daizen, Joe has improved his knowledge of design using the HSB CAD and Cadwork programs, starting from the original concept, to adding joinery, to final production. Joe also assists with project management assignments and consults with contractors on local installations.
